Mission Statement

The mission of The Chandler School is to empower children with language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, to become academically skilled students who are strong self-advocates and confident lifelong learners prepared to enter other academic settings.

Our Goals are Simple

At The Chandler School, your child will participate in classes with like minded students who share the passion and desire to excel under the guidance of experienced faculty.

  • To meet each child’s specific needs.
  • To foster each child’s specific strengths and unique talents.
  • To enable each student to grow toward fulfilling his/her own potential.

Our learning philosophy is rooted in a multi-sensory, language-based, phonetic approach. The fundamental maxim held by our faculty is that all children have the capacity to learn when engaged by the correct approach. Children who have profound difficulties with reading, written expression, and other academic disciplines, such as math, history, and science, for example, require a specific educational approach that addresses their individual social, emotional, and academic needs. In addition to traditional academics, we equip students with strong organizational skills, decision-making strategies, and accountability awareness, so each child can recognize his/her role within one’s family, school, and community. We are committed to strengthening and empowering each student on campus. Our goal is not only to educate, but also to instill confidence in their own skills to participate fully in the world at large.

The Chandler School Philosophy

Our learning philosophy is rooted in a multi-sensory, language-based, phonetic approach. The fundamental maxim held by our faculty is that all students have the capacity to learn. The individual educational needs of each child are the basis of all curriculum. In addition to traditional academics, we equip students with strong executive functioning skills. By providing an environment that fosters creativity and independent thinking, students are encouraged to explore and take risks. Our goal is to not only educate, but also to create leaders of tomorrow.
