About Us
Our School.
The Chandler School serves students in kindergarten through 8th grade. The student body is comprised of unique and talented children with a wide range of learning styles who benefit from small class size, specialized teaching techniques and individualized curriculum. Although our staff is trained in a language-based, phonetic approach (Orton-Gillingham), our environment benefits all types of learners. We know that there are other types of approaches, and one-size doesn’t fit all, therefore we embrace many different educational approaches.
Our Size.
Our student to faculty ratio is 8:1 in content classes and 1:1 or 2:1 in Orton-Gillingham tutorial. Class sizes range from up to 8 students in the primary grades to up to 12 students in the upper grades, allowing Chandler teachers to provide customized education for every student.
Our Curriculum.
The Chandler School’s curriculum meets all South Carolina Independent School Association advanced accreditation criteria for language and literature, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
Our Location.
The Chandler School is located 8 minutes from downtown Greenville on Augusta Street. We call the Historic C. Granville Wyche House our home. It is situated on three and a half acres of land that provide us with room to learn, explore, and, sometimes, excavate.
