Our Mission & Vision

The mission of the Chandler School is to empower talented and bright students with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences to become effective learners.

This mission is the bedrock of all that we do. However, we’re always challenging it. We believe that how you teach bright, young dyslexic children is how you teach all children: placing them in an educational estuary where they have the right to fail, show resilience, learn from their mistakes, and move forward. Simply put, we teach grit. Even though we primarily cater to students with language-based learning differences, we never say never because we like our kids to be as unique as our school, and we welcome all learners because we believe that children aren’t widgets. Students develop at different paces. One type of curriculum doesn’t fit all learners. Every year, we re-tailor our instruction to meet the needs of the students.

Our long term vision is to always put quality over quantity. We never want to grow our student body beyond 72 students. We set this number so our students and faculty can continue to maintain strong, educational relationships, and so we can continue to inspire our students to be the best at whatever they choose. We want them to discover their passion. These relationships and bonds between student and teacher are what allow this discovery to happen.
