I have been a teacher for 53 years. Three years of teaching were in West Africa. I taught in Togo as a Peace Corps Volunteer and 1 year in Benin as a Fulbright Teacher. In addition to religion, my passions include traveling, gardening, reading, cooking, and music.

I returned to Greenville with my family after almost 20 years to work at Chandler. I love to cook, hike, and have adventures with my husband, two daughters, and our sweet pup Maggie.

I have been an educator for 25 years and I'm thrilled to be a part of The Chandler Family. My husband and I are new transplants to Greenville after previously living in Memphis, TN. Originally from the upstate, we are happy to back! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my two grown daughters, traveling, and cooking.

This is my seventeenth year teaching; I have taught all grades 6-12! I am also a published author. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, films, live music and theatre, pottery, and college football. Above all, I am an advocate of storytelling and I firmly believe that everyone's story matters.

This will be my eighteenth year teaching and I could not be more excited that it will be at The Chandler School! My journey as a teacher began just like Dana’s at Sandhills Academy. Since then I’ve taught many subjects and ages but my heart has always been drawn to children with learning difficulties. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, creative endeavors, and learning new things. My husband, Carr, and I plan on being involved in the A.C.E Program. Being a parent of 2 children with learning difficulties myself has given me a unique perspective and strength in working with all types of children.

I went from running a small advertising agency to becoming an educator in 2006 after two of my three children were diagnosed with dyslexia. Outside of school, I love reading, painting, learning new things, and spending time with my family and our many fur babies.
